Electrical Sciences

  • Core Foundations Students master foundational courses like digital circuits, , semiconductors, digital communication, signals and systems, power systems and power electronics, in the first two years. The focus will be on experiential learning accompanied with analytical rigor.

The following Specialization Tracks are included in the program:

  • Micro-Electronics & VLSI: Semiconductors, devices, microprocessors and computer architecture, VLSI Design, Verilog and HDL, FPGA, digital IC design, photovoltaics, embedded systems, AI/ML and quantum computing and other advanced topics.

  • Communications and Signal Processing:  Communications systems, digital and wireless communication, 6G and beyond, communication networks, AI/ML, quantum communication and computing, digital signal and image processing, FPGA, embedded systems, and other advanced topics.

  • Power Electronics and Power Systems: Electronic drives, power converters, electric vehicles, machines, magnetic components, power systems and control, HVDC, advanced control systems, modelling and simulation, renewable energy, AI/ML, quantum computing, and other advanced topics.
